Maricopa County will host the 2023 Career Fair & Community Expo 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Feb. 15 at Chase Field in Phoenix.
Event entrance and parking are free.
Hiring managers from 50 County departments will be on-hand to meet and conduct on-the-spot interviews for positions at all levels in a wide variety of fields such as administrative support, IT, education, trades, healthcare, finance, and more at the inaugural 2023 Maricopa County Career Fair & Community Expo.
“This will be a great opportunity for job seekers to explore hundreds of different types of jobs, including entry-level jobs for those who are just starting their careers,” said Laura Ingegneri, Maricopa County director of Human Resources. “We are excited to meet candidates and share the great positions and benefits we offer.”
In addition to competitive pay, County employee benefits include enrollment in the Arizona State Retirement System; paid time off that includes paid parental leave for either parent; nearly 90percent of healthcare benefits paid by the County; free counseling sessions and other mental health services; vetted and subsidized backup care for children or seniors; tuition reimbursement, discounts on events, attractions, and every day necessities, and an extensive wellness program that focuses on work/life balance.
Career Fair guests can also learn more about the many County services and programs that benefit individuals and families in the region such as rent and utility assistance, free and low-cost health care, early education, and pet adoptions and reunifications.
“Maricopa County is one of the state’s largest employers with jobs in just about every career field imaginable. And I’ve found it be a different kind of government. Innovative while also caring. Efficient and also open to change. And so we’re excited to showcase who we are, what we do, and why job seekers might want to join us,” said Maricopa County Manager Joy Rich.
It won’t be all business at the ballpark. Visitors should keep an eye out for appearances by Arizona Diamondbacks’ mascot, Baxter the Bobcat. They can also have their photo taken with the 2001 Arizona Diamondbacks World Series Trophy.
