Maricopa County Animal Care and Control happily accepts monetary and in‑kind donations. All donations go directly to the care of the animals in our shelters and the programs that support their health and well-being. Donations are accepted at our shelter locations, through the mail or online. If you have any questions about donations, or would like to know how you can leave a legacy for our shelter animals, please call Ben Swan at 602-506-3471, or email him at Ben.Swan@Maricopa.gov. Donations made to your community shelter are tax deductible as long as they are given for public purposes and not used for the payment of licenses or fees.
Shelter Wish List
The care of our homeless animals is made possible only through community support. Our shelters can always use the following items:
Canned dog/cat food
For more information about immediate needs, please email Jose Santiago, public information officer.
Amazon Wish List
Your community shelters rely on the generosity of everyone to ensure the health and happiness of Maricopa County's homeless animals. Please visit our Amazon Wish List to see how you can directly impact our work at our facilities.
In 2015, the Board of Supervisors authorized general funds for the express purpose of increasing clinic resources. Beyond this measure, all other shelter operations and services are funded solely from dog licensing, shelter fees, and donations.
