Originally adopted by the Board of Supervisors in 1987,
the Maricopa County Procurement Code (PDF) ensures that there is clarity and consistency in the way the County departments obtain goods, services and construction in order to provide citizen services. Based on the American Bar Association Model Code for Procurement, the Code is a commitment to the fair and equitable treatment of all who deal with county procurement, and fosters effective broad-based competition.
The Code was last updated in February 2021 and changes included an increase to the single assignment maximum for Job Order Contracts and changes to conform with updated federal policies.
