Mobile On-Site Mammography (MOM) Screenings
While there is no known cure for advanced breast cancer, early detection is a proven line of defense against this deadly disease, and provides a greater chance of cure and more treatment options. An annual mammogram can detect cancer early - when it is most treatable.
We know it can be difficult to find the time to schedule an exam. That's why we offer Mobile Onsite Mammography screenings for our employees. MOM provides high quality services using the latest technology; they also accommodate implant patients.
Maricopa County medical plans cover the cost of a preventive mammogram for women as early as age 40, every one to two years, or at any age for women at risk, when recommended by a physician. The medical plans now cover 3-D Mammograms for breast cancer screening. This technology allows screening of breast tissue from different angles to create a 3-D image.
Like the 2-D mammograms, 3-D mammograms are covered at zero cost share if they are part of your in-network preventive care. Check with your healthcare provider to determine which type of mammogram (2-D or 3-D) is best for you.

2017 Prostate Onsite Project (POP) Screenings
Men have a 1 in 6 chance of developing prostate cancer in their lifetime, and more than 4,000 Arizona men will be diagnosed this year alone. Sadly, an easy and simple 15-minute exam might have saved their lives. With early detection and treatment, prostate cancer is nearly 100% survivable.
Exams take about 10 minutes, and are free to male employees 40 and older who are covered under a County medical plan and have not had the test in the last 12 months.
